Our corporate philosophy and principal service objectives are to protect the Home Improver from the "Builder from Hell", the unscrupulous commission-only sales person and general "Rogue Traders".
The service is driven by this philosophy and our objectives are shared by all Home Improvers who seek a first class service and value-for-money.
We have built in a number of "Safety Nets" to our service, which are designed to fundamentally protect our customers from using anybody BUT "cowboy-builders" or "Rogue Traders".
A summary of protection:
- All NRWAS staff are committed to our corporate philosophy through our standard terms of employment
- All NRWAS Project Managers are mature, relevantly experienced in their field and qualified to offer technical advice about your proposed project
- All registered installers and services complete a registration process which we believe is the most stringent of its' kind
- No applicant company pays to be registered - This service is NOT a trade association, set up for the benefit of its' members
- All quoting companies are inspected for guarantee and service issues
- All proposed projects are independently specified - Customers are not advised to use a single product - As is normal when dealing with window or conservatory companies direct
- All proposed projects are specified to building control and recognised safety standards
- All projects managed are subject to a legally-binding "Customer Contract"
- Project deposit & stage payments are protected by indemnity insurance
- Guarantees issued are protected by IBG insurance
- All payments processed through the NRWAS Customer Account require procedure and stage completion checks prior to release of funds to installers or supplier
TAKING CONTROL OF YOUR PROJECT - Our Customer Contract
By far the best way to prevent problems arising when taking up the services of a builder or other contractor has to be by putting any agreement in writing. A written contract is much easier to work with if things go wrong, in comparison with a verbal agreement, which often will result in one party's word against the others.
Our Customer Contract is a legally binding agreement, designed to protect the parties involved and to make the whole process run smoothly and efficiently. Our contracts are copyright protected and are the basis for similar contracts used as part of the Government's "Build Mark" scheme.
The contract we produce is provided FREE as part of the service we provide both home owner and contractor. It is in place to provide a practical and legal structure to the project and is in addition to statutory legal obligations and rights you are afforded under common law.
