The Service - An Overview
At our Head Office, calls are received directly from Home Improvers all over the UK. We operate a live service to experienced staff between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. At all other times, for 24 hours a day, seven days a week, there is a live call-centre administration, which can discuss your enquiry and refer it to the most appropriate staff member, who will contact you as soon as practical.
Here at Head Office, we are able to discuss your enquiry and offer immediate advice about your proposed project and confirm the best way to deal with it. Our management and administration team liaise with our Project Managers, who are located throughout the country and are suitably qualified to offer the most appropriate advice for your project.
Since 1992, we have developed a register of installers and manufacturers who, whilst diverse in size and speciality, are all reliable and committed to you and our service, to provide the best value for money for what is an important improvement to your home, whatever the size of project.
Our Project Managers are all industry professionals and have a variety of appropriate qualifications and specialist experience between them - the average age of an area Project Manager (at the last count) - is 52 years !
Each area Project Manager will liaise with all appropriate registered installers and manufacturers in his or her area for your project and has access to our national database of installers and manufacturers for special projects which are handled by specialist companies outside of the immediate area.
During our service to you, our local Project Manager and Head Office staff will be on hand during and after installation to ensure that the work is completed to your complete satisfaction.
All registered contractors and services are required to complete an application form which is relevant to their trade or service. In general, the acceptance requirements include a minimum of three years solvent trading, membership of a recognised Trade Association, recognised qualifications within their trade, adequate public & employer's liability insurance, provision of their standard guarantees, provision of guarantee insurance and acceptance of our terms & conditions of trade and conduct with introduced customers.
